Olive Shells Twenty-five species are found in North America. Decorated with various patterns and fine wrinkles, this shell’s exterior is smooth and shiny. Most are whorled and cylindrically elongated with a small spire. Olive shells may vary from ¼ inch to 5 inches in length.
