To get the bird's-eye view of the entire table, Senior Photographer Jean Allsopp climbed up and down a 12-foot ladder. We had to squeeze our way into a cornrow to get the best angle. Senior Editor Julia Rutland provided counterbalance―and practice smart sun protection with her wide-brim hat.
