Invite the Outdoors In

Layered textures and materials give any space a rich look. In this bath, the architect combined reeded wormy-oak cabinets and wide-plank wall paneling with square tumbled-stone floor tiles. Half walls offer privacy but prevent the room from feeling cramped. Another neat idea: the freestanding tub surrounded by a “moat” of smooth river rocks.
