Opulent Oasis
On the 1,089-square-foot terrace, Paul created a world of citrus trees, annuals, and rustling screens of living bamboo. He felt the urban garden was too large to think of as one space, so he made it a dining pavilion, a casual seating area, a space for lounging, and a barbecue nook. A small grove of citrus trees hugging one edge of the terrace provides plenty of juice for al fresco drinks.
