Community: Daniel Island
Interior Designer: Ginger Brewton, Ginger Brewton Interiors
After studying at the distinguished New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan, Ginger founded her studio in 2005. Named one of 2010’s Top 20 Next Wave of Interior Designers to Watch, Ginger has been published in House Beautiful, Garden & Gun, All the Best blog, One Kings Lane, Interiors Southeast as well as numerous other publications and blogs. Ginger Brewton Interiors is a full service, high-end, residential and commercial design studio. Builder: Jamison Howard, Max Crosby Construction
Jamison Howard, President of Max Crosby Construction, has been with Charleston’s leading custom homebuilder brand since 2000. Architectural Design: Suzanne Stern, Our Town Plans
Suzanne is the president of Our Town Plans, a collection of pre-designed house plans inspired by America’s rich architectural heritage. Previously, she spent 14 years as a designer at Historical Concepts, a well known traditional architecture and planning firm, and is the daughter of the award-winning designer Jim Strickland. Suzanne is now carrying on his legacy, setting a new standard for the pre-designed plan market with her unique combination of design expertise and understanding of traditional architecture, along with a commitment to quality design and affordability.
Landscape Architect: Jeff Elliott, The Daniel Island Company
Jeff Elliott is a landscape architect and Senior Project Manager for The Daniel Island Company whose work can be found throughout Daniel Island’s neighborhoods, parks, golf courses, recreational amenities and open spaces. He studied at Louisiana State University’s graduate school of landscape architecture and has been working in the landscape design, planning and development field for almost 20 years.
Developer: The Daniel Island Company
This award-winning community development company was formed in 1997 to execute the master plan for Daniel Island. Recognized by the Urban Land Institute with an “Award for Excellence,” the company is known nationally for its smart-growth development practices. The Daniel Island Company’s second community, Carnes Crossroads, is located 17 miles north of Daniel Island in the center of Charleston’s growth.
Charity: National MS Society, Greater Carolinas Chapter
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS NOW—to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. The Greater Carolinas Chapter serves over 14,400 individuals with MS and their families in 82 counties in North Carolina and all of South Carolina. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS through programs, services, and research funding.
