A narrow staircase in the second floor sitting room leads to a tower room high above the marshlands. "It is reminiscent of
a ship's crow's nest," says Barry. Here, a cozy seating area is surrounded by windows trimmed in bright white, khaki walls,
and salvaged paneling. "The antique beaded board adds a real rustic quality," Linda says. A red leather sofa and a pair of
sassy red-and-taupe striped reclining chairs continue the living room's color scheme at the home's highest point. A glass
door opens to a widow's walk that wraps the entire tower. "This is the pi?ce de r?sistance of the house," Linda says.
