Katie Couric spends hours in front of a camera, but she savors time spent in front of the sea. "It's the place I feel most
at one with nature," she says.
Like most of us, Katie's beach time is generally reserved for recharging, and rightfully so—the mom of two is busy gearing
up for a new role as host of her eponymous daytime talk show, premiering in September. But come 5:00, expect her to be down by the ocean near her weekend home in East Hampton—with a
good book and her go-to beach snack, a tomato sandwich—as often as possible. "It's my favorite time of day to be there because
the light is so beautiful," she says.
