The newly formed North American Sea Glass Association seeks "to educate the consumer and retailer as to the properties and benefits of genuine, pure, natural beach sea glass." Formed recently by Charles Peden in conjunction with many other big names in the sea-glass world, the association will hold its inaugural North American Sea Glass Festival in Santa Cruz, California, in October 2006.
