Turtle Tale

“This is one of many sea turtles at the Cayman Island Turtle Farm on Grand Cayman,” Kay says of her treasured photo. “After Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the turtle farm was rebuilt and located across the road from the ocean to protect the turtles in tanks if another hurricane hit. There are turtles of all sizes, and once a year some are released into the ocean when they reach the size of a dinner plate. This turtle was much larger.”
