Sara Schneider, Sunset magazine's wine expert, helped round up the best white and red wines to serve at your Santorini supper.
Domaine Sigalas 2014 Assyrtiko/Athiri (Santorini; $18). This sweet-tart white has a briny character that pulls out flavor elements in the shrimp and sides, such as herbs, capers, fennel, olives, and peppers.
Tselepos 2012 Driopi Classic Agiorgitiko (Nemea; $20). An earthy, leathery quality pairs well with the lamb; vibrant acidity plays off the tomatoes, too.
Twomey 2014 Sauvignon Blanc (Napa and Sonoma; $25). The citrus and herbs in this white are happy even with the assertive flavors of vinegar, olives, and capers.
Rusack 2012 Ballard Canyon Estate Syrah (Santa Barbara County; $29). Black olive, pepper, and juicy dark fruit notes complement the richness of the lamb skewers.
