Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

Just south of the Cape Arago State Park, the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort overlooks the Pacific, with five seaside courses fashioned after the fabled golf links of Scotland. Like the courses, the resort buildings blend with the natural contours of the land. Sumptuous lodging and fine dining welcome home weary golfers. The accommodations are understated and rather masculine, even borderline spartan. Eating and drinking here is very fun, which is good because, honestly, there is no alternative. Everything is done right here. It could all add up quickly to a feeling of superiority with outright stuffiness around the next corner, but that is antithetical to Bandon.
