Newly renovated, the lobby still has the original bow tie-pattern flooring from the 1950s when Frank Sinatra hung out here.
He and the Rat Pack wore tuxes, but you don't have to dress up. The renovation included six pools and a 40,000-square-foot
spa. Admission ($30) gets you into the day spa to enjoy heated custom stone benches that warm to the touch, rainwater showers,
and refreshing eucalyptus steam rooms. For more lounging, take a spot around one of the pools, or hit the wooden boardwalk
behind the hotel for a leisurely walk past Collins Avenue hotels and the beach.
