Palm Beach,  Florida
Island home, a quaint and casual home furnishings and clothing shop on a classic tree-lined street in tony Palm Beach, is the antithesis of its ritzy locale. Former small-town Texan Susan Palmer, an antiques junkie who spent her childhood frequenting Texas's famed Round Top antiques fair with her mother, opened the store after moving to Palm Beach and having trouble finding pieces she loved. Stocked with an eclectic mix of furniture with a vintage feel, boldly patterned pillows, sea life--inspired accessories, and vibrant caftans and totes, Island Home has become a go-to spot for coastal homeowners who want a more low-key style.
