Biras Creek

Imagine a tropical paradise of fragrant frangipani, deep-green sea grape trees, and tamarind groves rimming white beaches and you get only part of the picture of this spectacular spot, set above the North Sound of Virgin Gorda. All of the 24 bright, airy ocean suites, including one Premier and two Grand, set above the crashing Atlantic. Seven more are tucked within the landscaped gardens.

Get a deal: Seven-night stay packages are several thousand dollars cheaper beginning April 19. All meals, a bottle of Champagne, two 30-minute massages from the spa, and transfers included.

Rates: From April 19 to December 17, 2009, suites start at $700 per night. The resort will be closed September 1 to October 15, 2009; biras.com.

Mango Bay Resort
