Only a place that looks like this...

...deserves a name like this:

Meet The Darling Oyster Barthe newest oyster bar in Charleston, South Carolina's ever-expanding ensemble of eateries.

From the looks of it, it's set to become an ideal after-work spot for tasty cocktails and fresh seafood. Exposed brick walls and expansive windows together create an atmosphere that's simultaneously cozy and bright.

Raw oysters and people-watching can be best enjoyed at the 14-seat oyster bar, which offers prime views of King Street, a city thoroughfare loved by locals and visitors alike for its abundance of dining, shopping, and historic architecture.

With its collected feel, this bookcase overlooking the back booth is just one of the charming design touches that make our hearts flutter.

In the category of other elements that make our hearts soar? The souvenir matchboxes. We love an old-fashioned collectible, and these delightful trinkets totally fit the bill.

And then, of course, there's the drool-worthy menu.

They've got raw oysters on the half shell with house-made hot sauce...

…fried oysters with house-made tartar sauce...

…a fried flounder sandwich...

…and the restaurant's mother lode: clam chowder poured over french fries. Holy chowder.

Yes, this restaurant is definitely a darling.

Thanks to Andrew Cebulka for the drop-dead gorgeous photos!
