St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine's annual fireworks display brings more people to the historic downtown area than any other event all year long. So come early and enjoy the city before the show.

Celebrate all day: Take a stroll in the histroic downtown district and discover antique shops and restaurants before heading to the waterfront for fireworks.

Showtime: Catch the fireworks on July 4 above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and watch them reflect off the waters of Matanzas Bay. The show begins at 9:30 p.m.

Best view: Stake out your spot along the bayfront between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions., or take in a memorable view of the city on top of the historic lighthouse ($40).

After the show: Grab a treat, like homemade peach bread from Pumpkin Bread and Spice Bistro; ci.st-augustine.fl.us.
