The Les Misérables star just snagged the century-old Westport home for $2.8 million—and it’s très chic inside and out.

When celebs score a new vacation home, it’s often in swanky star-filled enclaves such as Malibu or the Hamptons. Not so for Anne Hathaway, whose latest real estate get is perched along the quiet coastline of Connecticut.

Built in 1920, the five-bedroom Westport home sits on nearly an acre of land just steps from Compo Beach. Dubbed “CompoBello,” the Colonial-style home is classic New England with a cobblestone driveway and bright red front door.

The 4,100-square foot dwelling just underwent a major renovation, and the final product is nothing short of spectacular. On the first floor, an open great room, breakfast room, and tricked out chef’s kitchen (with an enormous island and ceiling-height wine fridge) are perfect entertaining spaces for the Oscar-winning actress and her actor-producer husband Adam Shulman.

Next door, a light, bright dining room with vaulted ceilings and a stately stone fireplace can easily accommodate parties of 10 or more.

Neighboring the dining area, French doors open onto a pergola-topped outdoor kitchen with Viking appliances and a spacious backyard that’s equally as impressive as the indoors.

Ornamental English gardens and a large pool are tucked behind walls of boxwood hedges for ambiance and privacy.

Sounds like grounds perfectly suited for a princess (of Genovia) to us.
