And it has one of the most party-ready outdoor spaces we’ve ever seen.

Based on the type of home one keeps, it’s fairly simple to make a few assumptions about the homeowner. And judging by the laid-back vibes and killer beachfront patio of this vintage Malibu pad, one can assume this: Owner and Fight Club star Edward Norton is probably really fun to hang out with.

Take the outdoor space of his no-frills SoCal home as proof: Part deck, part sand pit—with lounge seating, a hot tub, a tiki bar, tiki torches, and surfboard storage—the space is perfectly outfitted to host an epic day-long beach party.

Norton purchased the home 10 years ago, but after snagging architect John Lautner’s covetable Malibu home last year for $11.8 million, he’s listing his former beach pad. Which means envious entertainers can now serve mai tais in Norton’s backyard if they’ve got $5,250,000 to spare.

Built in 1928, the two-story house has three bedrooms, though potential to split the two levels into single rental units is an option, as both floors come with a living room and full kitchen.

The bottom floor has the rustic feel of a surf shack with wood-wrapped walls and ceilings, while the upper level is clean and white-washed with a classic beach cottage vibe. Both floors boast large windows for admiring the unobstructed ocean views.

Sounds to us like a home worth fighting for.
