As music legend Frank Sinatra once sang, if you can make it in ol’ New York, New York, you can make it anywhere. For the pop star himself, “anywhere” was a multi-million-dollar mansion on Southern California’s famed Malibu beach.

According to Top Ten Real Estate Deals, Sinatra and wife Barbara, who owned several homes throughout the LA area, built their custom dream digs in 1992 after purchasing the beachfront land for $3 million. They then enlisted celebrity architect Ted Grenzbach, who’s worked with Barbra Streisand, Cher, and Gene Kelly, to design a 5,800-square-foot house in its place. And, like beach homes tend to be, the Sinatras’ oceanfront escape was all about entertaining.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Sinatras hosted many legendary celebs over the years, including Dick Martin, Jack Lemmon, Gregory Peck, Eydie Gormé, Robert Wagner, and Dick Van Dyke. The Malibu house is also where the couple chose to renew their vows in 1996, in the company of friends like Don Rickles and Bob Newhart.

Twenty years later, the star-studded chatter has quieted, but the Sinatras’ storied beach escape still stands—and, if you have $12.9 million to spare, the house (and its brag-worthy history) can be yours.

And in addition to its stellar oceanfront location, the estate has much to swoon over. The spacious first floor is ideal for hosting, with an open plan and bar area accessible from both the indoors and out. A large oceanview patio and backyard provide the perfect entertaining space, while a private interior courtyard with a pool and spa offers a peaceful spot to soak up the Malibu sun.

Seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms are spread throughout the elevator-equipped home, including a luxurious master suite with vaulted ceilings, a private terrace, dual bathrooms, a sauna, hair salon, and mesmerizing ocean views.
