Live Tiny—and Right on the Beach—in This Cozy Hamptons Cottage
The 700-square-foot charmer and its swoon-worthy water views are up for grabs.
Like many people, we have a thing for adorable tiny homes. (See exhibits A, B, and C.) So when we found this pint-sized cottage that’s not only cute on the inside, but blessed with a spacious deck and its own private beach, we naturally fell in love.
Tucked away on a quiet road, the two-bedroom cottage is situated on Amagansett’s Napeague Harbor, where calm waters equal paradise for anyone with an affinity for watersports like paddleboarding or windsurfing. Adventurers can launch right from the home’s beach, while those who prefer to keep their feet in the sand can dig for clams or dip their toes in the cool water.
Steps up from the water, a spacious wooden deck offers versatile entertaining space that can easily spill over onto the sand below, making large gatherings a breeze despite the home’s low square footage.
And while the outdoor space certainly has much to brag about, we’re crushing on the interiors, too. A large wooden door connects the deck to the open great room, which is beautifully renovated with tiled floors, a candle-burning fireplace, an updated kitchen, and exposed wooden beams overhead. Windows stretch along the ocean-facing wall, framing water views and letting in sunlight year-round. The bedrooms and bath are perfectly compact and effortlessly cozy.
