One of my favorite ways to spend a spring Saturday in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a leisurely shopping expedition up and down South Dixie Highway, scouting for finds. And what a find is HIVE Home, Gift & Garden, a glowing, chic emporium of sophisticated coastal style.

Palm Beach interior designer Sara McCann is the Queen Bee behind HIVE, and I love how her team at McCann Design Group has filled the store's 9,000 square feet with furniture, lighting, home accessories, gifts, and even a garden shop -- all curated with an eye toward that impeccable Palm Beach aesthetic that blends subtropical and glamour like a well-crafted martini.

And speaking of martinis, this darling vignette made me want to settle in for a round of backgammon and a cocktail. Plus, HIVE loves books, and there are stacks of inspirational (and beautiful) reads throughout the shop, including Assouline's enticing tome about Oscar de la Renta (with a forward by Anna Wintour). I discovered design ideas in every vignette, such as this beautiful play of art and decorative items.

These two prints of vintage French textiles (titled Pignier Carousselle 1 & 2) are brilliant use of color and pattern, and the palette of greens--from those chinoiserie throw pillows to that lime ottoman--is a perfect (nearly botanical) setting for it. What fun. What a perfect Saturday in West Palm.
