Peek inside the Ultra-Luxurious Private Island Resort Where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Stayed in Fiji
The royal couple snuck off for a romantic vacation during their 16-day royal tour.
While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s jam-packed royal tour may have been all about business (and, of course, the Duchess’ adorable beachwear), one doesn’t go to Fiji without penciling in time for a little R&R. During their 16-day tour of the island paradise, along with Australia, New Zealand, and Tonga, the Duke and Duchess managed to sneak away for a night at one of the most idyllic and exclusive resorts in the world.
According to sources, the lucky couple spent a quiet final night in Fiji on the Vatuvara Private Islands, an ultra-luxurious outpost in the remote Lau Islands offering just three villas as accommodations. To get to the islands, guests arrive via private jet to the resort’s own airstrip. From there, they’re whisked away to an all-inclusive villa with an infinity pool and private beach. Surrounded by lush foliage, each villa is designed to feel incredibly private while providing discerning guests with the services of a five-star resort. (Stays here even include a private masseuse.)
Outside of the stunning accommodations, Vatuvara guests can take advantage of a fully customizable resort experience, with two full-service restaurants on the island delivering fresh, organic meals and a host of activities to choose from on land and at sea. On the island, guests can arrange to play golf at the resort’s four-hole course, take cooking or yoga classes, or organize a champagne picnic at any of a number of stunning beaches. Three resort boats also provide unlimited ocean fun, from fishing and snorkeling to scuba diving.
With the Duke and Duchess’ packed schedule, it’s unlikely they had too much time to devote to many of these activities. Still, spending time in this Fijian paradise doing nothing at all sounds like a dream to us.
