If you're anything like me, you spend your summer vacations on the beach, already thinking about your winter vacations... ON THE BEACH... which is why I'm dreaming of these beautiful hotels that offer yoga along with some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world. Let's the do the math, shall we? Beautiful hotel+yoga+gorgeous beach=January vacation 2016. Check out these destinations (with inspiration from my friends at Design Hotels, who know beauty when they see it) that are making my booking finger itchy.

Stop one? Tulum:

Because Tulum and yoga are pretty much a power couple, this Mexican destination has to be #1 on most of our lists. And I adore this reimagined Emilio Heredia resort that combines its traditional barefoot style with a new inside look, thanks to Design Hotels. Yogis, take note: You can begin your mornings here with yoga, then add on Toltec Power Dance, Tai-Chi and Chi-Gong classes by request.

Stop two? Grenada:

Stunning and eclectic hotel design on this off-the-radar Caribbean island makes for a Zenful getaway, even before you hit the open-air yoga pavilion. Yogis, take note: Laluna's Balinese-style yoga pavilion sits right on the beach and faces the Caribbean Sea. Group classes include Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. (Check out Laluna's one-week yoga retreats, here.)

Stop three? Jamaica:

I adore the design bravura of this romantic escape, and it's an easy getaway from most parts of the US.  Yogis, take note: Rockhouse's new temple-like spa pavilion includes a lovely space for yoga (not to mention a drench hut and massage cabana).

Also, this is not me (but maybe this January...):

Stop four? Thailand.

Like I needed an excuse to go to one of the world's most remarkable beaches, but here's another: this beautifully designed hotel set in a coconut grove on the beach, with serenity in every direction. Yogis, take note: The Surin offers yoga and meditation classes on the beach, by request. Meaning you may have this practice all to yourself, and how lovely an option is that?

Stop five? Cyprus:

Set me on this sun-bleached island, and I'm already serene. Add Almyra's crisply white modernism that always looks best against the lapis lazuli blue of the Mediterranean, and now I'm nirvanistic. Yogis, take note: The yoga terrace at Almyra is a destination unto itself; book personal sessions to make your retreat complete.

I feel better already.
