Tell your boss you’ll be back in a week … maybe.

When it comes to office perks, employers have certainly gotten creative in the 21st century. Gourmet coffee and in-office gyms are increasingly more common, while Silicon Valley startups are going a step further with bonuses like free food, game rooms, nap rooms, and on-site massage therapists.

But whatever your own work space boasts, we can pretty much guarantee one thing: It’s not quite as cool as getting your hours in at this private island cabana. Billed as the first-ever overwater bungalow coworking space, the sunshine-yellow cottage is a collaboration between the Belize Tourism Board and Tobacco Caye, a private island resort just 10 miles off the Belize coast.

According to the Belize Tourism Board, the coworking space was developed in response to the growing number of people opting to blend leisure time with business. In Belize, they’re calling the concept “Belizesure,” a combination of work and play in paradise that makes dialing in on vacay, at worst, much more tolerable, and at best, downright enjoyable.

With the Belizesure coworking space, guests have full access to an open-concept oceanfront bungalow complete with WiFi and standing desks. That’s, fortunately, pretty much where the comparisons to your average coworking space end. Here, “executive parking” refers to a pair of kayaks at the ready when the ocean calls; the “suits” dress code refers to the swim variety; and the juice bar just may (or may not, if your boss calls) have a bottle of Caribbean rum beside it.
