Marc Anthony Just Bought a $19 Million Miami Mansion From the Heiress of Bacardi
We’ll drink to that.
Grammy-winning crooner Marc Anthony can certainly belt out a soulful ballad—but these days, what’s singing to him? A 20,000-square-foot waterfront mansion, apparently.
The Latin-pop artist recently snatched up this prime piece of real estate in Coral Gables for a whopping $19 million. And it comes with a pretty rum-soaked past.
Formerly owned by Hilda Maria Bacardi, whose great-great-grandfather founded the Bacardi rum empire in the 1800s, the Mediterranean-style mansion was just completed in 2016. Bacardi, who was represented in the deal by brokers Barbara Estela and Hilda Jacobson of Douglas Elliman, oversaw the custom construction and design from start to finish.

The final product, to say the least, is an absolute dream. Set on a corner, 1.3-acre lot the house enjoys serene views of the water from nearly every room. Luxurious features include elegant, high-end finishes, an elevator, three kitchens, separate guest quarters, and a wine cellar (which we vote Mr. Anthony transitions to a rum room, given the home’s history).
With 12 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and multiple lounge spots inside and out, the Miami home is made for entertaining. A covered loggia opens up to a sprawling pool area, where everything from afternoon barbecues to evening cocktail receptions with dozens of guests would feel right at home.
Anthony, whose purchase of the estate puts him just a couple miles away from the home of ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, is sure to host a shindig or two in his new pad—and we don’t we think we stand alone when we say we’d like to be on that guest list. See more of this stunning home below:
