The Don CeSar

Celebrate the holiday by booking a vacay in the Sunshine State!

Pink sand, pink sunsets, pink cottages, pink seashells, pink flamingos…if there’s a color (other than blue) that represents the coast just perfectly, it might be this pretty hue. So, here at Coastal Living, National Pink Day (June 23) is kind of a Big Deal. We think pink, we wear pink, we dream about owning a pink island house, and we book vacations at stays where pink is the primary color.

If you, too, are dreaming of a pink getaway, here’s a booking option that—bonus—comes with a red tag. In honor of the holiday, the Don CeSar Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida—also known as The Pink Palace—is offering 20 percent off reservations through December 22, 2018, if you book from June 23 – June 24 using the promo code “PINK.”

Set along the white-sand beaches of Florida’s Gulf coast, the rosy-hued paradise was built in 1928 and was once a playground for the Gatsby-era elite (including F. Scott Fitzerald and Clarence Darrow). Since it was restored and added to the National Register of Historic Places in the ‘70s, the hotel has maintained its star-studded status, with film appearances in movies with Robert di Niro and Ray Liotta.
