No, really!

By Marisa Spyker

We’ve all thought once or twice (a day, an hour…) about trading in our 9-to-5 desk jobs for a life sipping piña coladas in board shorts on a beach.

Friends, now is the time to make it happen.

Casa Cayuco, a luxury eco-resort on the Bocas del Toro archipelago just off Panama, is up for grabs, and you don’t need to be a millionaire to make it your own. You need a mere $10. Seriously!

Thank owners Suzanne and Dave Smith, a couple originally from Detroit whose own island dreams convinced them to jump the corporate ship and move to Panama in 2013.

When they found Casa Cayuco, it was a rustic off-the-grid lodge with minimal electricity. The couple took the property under their wing, and in the past four years have transformed it into a thriving 24-guest eco-resort with four stand-alone cabins, a main lodge, two lodge suites, and a luxury owner’s suite. The retreat is now ranked as TripAdvisor’s number one resort in Panama.

Meet Suzanne and Dave Smith and learn more about how you can own Casa Cayuco:

The Smiths are now moving on to their next business venture in Panama, and rather than list the resort, worth millions, they opted instead for an unconventional way of passing on the property.

In partnership with British competition organizer WinThis.Life, Casa Cayuco will be raffled off for just $10 per ticket. To enter, island hopefuls simply buy one or more tickets and play a “spot-the-ball-type competition” online.

In addition to the dreamy property, winners will receive a $50,000 cash prize from WinThis.Life as a resort-warming present.

The Smiths are hoping the competition will give regular folks like themselves the opportunity to experience the extraordinary island lifestyle and run a profitable business. They also hope Casa Cayuco’s new owners will continue operating the resort and employing the local community as they had, and are willing to offer advice to help with the transition.

So, the question is, who has $10 and feels lucky?
