Grab Your Girlfriends! There’s an Island in Finland That Doesn’t Allow Men
We think it’s time for a ladies’ weekend!
Calling all gal pal posses: If you’re wondering where to go for your next girlfriend getaway, there’s a private island off the coast of Finland that offers a dreamy escape from reality—and from men.
SuperShe Island is a ladies-only wellness retreat founded by entrepreneur Kristina Roth. Four luxury cabins—each equipped with Finnish saunas—house up to 10 guests on the tiny 8.4-acre spot of land in the Baltic Sea.
In addition to providing a picturesque place to unplug and bond with your favorite females, the retreat offers daily activities like yoga, meditation, fitness classes, nature activities, cooking classes, and farm-to-table dining.

SuperShe began as a business connecting women around the world through social media and regular retreats at different destinations. The island, now SuperShe’s headquarters as well as permanent retreat location, is intended to give women a place to relax and recharge.
“Being on vacation with men can cause women to become sidetracked, whether it’s to put on a swipe of lipstick or grab for a cover-up,” said Roth. “We want SuperShe Island to be a rejuvenating and a safe space where women can reinvent themselves and their desires. A place where you can recalibrate without distractions.”
The island opens to the public in June--which means a group text to the ladies might be in order right now.
