When can we move in?
Get ready to book a vacation, tiny aficionados. We’ve just spotted what might be the cutest little beach cottage-on-wheels we’ve ever seen—and good news: it’s for rent.
Tiny House Siesta is a community of beach rentals just minutes from the powdery white sand beaches of Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. Owner and developer Jeremy Ricci built the mini-resort on a sliver of an old RV park; now, 11 jelly bean-colored cottages, some with raised decks, porches, and even an inflatable kiddie pool, occupy the land.
Each colorful cottage has a name and a theme, and while we’re certainly giddy over several (The Margarita! The Flamingo!), we can’t help but love the Yellow Lifeguard Stand with a porch modeled after its namesake (it’s a real-life replica of a lifeguard stand in Siesta Key).

Inside the bright yellow front door, a counter-height surfboard does double duty as a catch-all for belongings and a breakfast bar with two stools tucked underneath. The long, narrow cottage makes efficient use of space, managing to squeeze in a full-size fridge, bathroom, and two queen beds atop a ladder-accessible loft.
The Yellow Lifeguard Stand rental, like each one on the property, is brimming with adorable beach house style. Shiplap siding and pops of turquoise and yellow make the interiors feel quaint, cheerful, and cozy.
So even if you’re not obsessed with tiny homes, it’s worth stopping by—and reserving a stay in each of the unique cottages—for decorating inspiration.
